Dr. Hansuld graduated with a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa, a Masters in Music from North Texas
State University, and a PhD. in Music from the University of Miami, Florida. His Masters Thesis was on teaching music
history and theory through rehearsal, while his Doctoral Dissertation concentrated on instrumental techniques. He studied
with John Paynter of Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, Frederick Fennell of the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY,
Harry Glantz, Principal Trumpet under Toscanini with the NBC Orchestra, and composer Clifton Williams and Alfred Reed.
Dr. Hansuld was band and orchestra director for the Dalla, TX public schools and Assistant Conductor and Brass Coach for the
all-city Dal-HiOrchestra. He was a graduate instructor at the University of Miami teaching music history and appreciation,
Music Professor at Marietta College, OH, Hiram College, OH, and Iowa Western Community College, where he conducted the Iowa
Western Band, and the Omaha PopsOrchestra. He has been Assistant Conductor of the Pinellas Park Civic Orchestra since 2008.
